Taurus compatibility turns on one question: can the other person hold still? Earth and water partners score 8 and up. Fire and air partners mostly score 4 and under, and the bottom of the chart, Leo at 2 and Aquarius at 3, is grim in a way the averages hide.

The deciding factor isn't temperature. A Taurus can live with a loud partner and even a fast one. What a Taurus cannot live with is being moved. Capricorn supplies the ambition Taurus never quite generates on its own, and Taurus gives Capricorn the one thing Capricorn is incapable of building for itself, which is somewhere to stop.

Virgo runs a little differently.
